“TANGGUH” Mentorship by the Accounting Study Program of UNIPMA Enhances the Capacity of UMKM in Ngegong Village
The Accounting Study Program of Universitas PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA) successfully held a community service event titled “TANGGUH: Excellent Business Management through Marketing Digitization, Financial Reporting, and Workforce Optimization.” This activity, in collaboration with UMKM (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises) in Ngegong Village, Manguharjo District, Madiun City, aimed to improve the capacity of UMKM actors in marketing digitization, financial management, and workforce optimization.
The event took place on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, at the Ngegong Village Meeting Hall, Jalan Keningar No. 24b, Manguharjo District, Madiun City. It was part of the Entrepreneurship course led by Bapak Moh. Ubaidillah, S.Pd., M.Si. CSRS. Additionally, this activity served as a concrete effort by students and faculty members of the Accounting Study Program at UNIPMA to offer solutions to the challenges faced by UMKM actors in Ngegong Village.
Event organizer, Yuke Mega Putri, explained that the event featured several speakers from the Accounting Study Program faculty, namely Dr. Anny Widiasmara, S.E., M.Si., CSRS., Dr. Maya Novitasari, S.E., M.Ak., CPFR., and Mr. Muhammad Agus Sudrajat, S.E., M.Si., CSRS. These speakers provided materials on digital marketing, financial reporting, and workforce optimization strategies. The event was also attended by the Secretary of Ngegong Village, Mr. Ardi Indriawan, who represented the Village Head, and Mrs. Yuni, the Chairwoman of the Ngegong Village UMKM.
The event began with participant registration, followed by an opening ceremony led by the organizing committee. After singing the national anthem and a prayer, speeches were delivered by Yuke Mega Putri, the event organizer; Mr. Ardi Indriawan; Mrs. Yuni; and Dr. Anny Widiasmara.
The mentorship session was delivered by the three speakers, followed by a discussion and Q&A session. During this session, UMKM actors eagerly shared their challenges, such as how to manage simple financial reports and leverage digital technology to expand their markets.
In the discussion session, UMKM actors also expressed hopes for this event to become a broader forum for discussions on solutions for UMKM in Madiun. They hoped that UMKM in Madiun could grow and gain wider recognition, in line with the development of unique products from Madiun City, which are considered to be more competitive compared to UMKM products from other cities.
The event concluded with the presentation of a plaque from Dr. Anny Widiasmara to Mrs. Yuni, the Chairwoman of Ngegong Village UMKM, a group photo, and closing remarks by the organizing committee.
Through this activity, UMKM actors in Ngegong Village are expected to take advantage of digital technology to increase the competitiveness of their products. Additionally, a better understanding of basic financial reporting will help them manage their business finances more structured and transparently.
“With more efficient workforce management, we hope that UMKM in Ngegong Village can hire local residents, thus reducing unemployment and boosting productivity,” said Yuke Mega Putri.
This activity also marks the first step toward creating more resilient, independent, and competitive UMKM, in line with the theme of the “TANGGUH” mentorship.
