UNIPMA Student Election Commission Announces Leaders of Student Organizations for 2024/2025 Period
The Student Election Commission (KPU-M) of Universitas PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA) has completed the Grand Student Election (Pemira) process and announced the elected leaders of student organizations (Ormawa) for the 2024/2025 period. The results were shared on December 6, 2024, through the official Instagram account @kpum_unipma2024 with the theme “Empathetic, Resilient, and Innovative Leadership for Student Organizations with Integrity and Professionalism.”
This theme reflects the aspiration for the newly elected leaders to manage student organizations with integrity and professionalism while being innovative and empathetic in addressing challenges and changes.
Starting on October 31, 2024, the Pemira process involved several stages, including socialization by KPUM, candidate registration, the establishment of a final voter list, and technical guidance for both candidates and organizers. Subsequent steps included campaign periods, open dialogues, voting day, and culminating in the announcement of results followed by the inauguration of the elected leaders.
The entire event series was actively attended by representatives from all student organizations at UNIPMA, KPUM UNIPMA, and the Student Election Supervisory Body (Bawaslu-M) UNIPMA. These stakeholders fully supported the Pemira process, fostering a healthy and enthusiastic democratic atmosphere.
KPUM UNIPMA announced the leadership results for executive institutions such as the Student Executive Board (BEM), Faculty Student Associations (HMPS Faculty), and Study Program Student Associations (HMPS Prodi). Each organization had one elected candidate pair. The complete list of elected Ormawa leaders is available on the Instagram account @kpum_unipma2024.
One of the most engaging sessions during Pemira was the Open Dialogue for Ormawa leadership candidates. This session began with candidates presenting their vision, mission, and work programs, followed by a question-and-answer segment with students.
The public evaluation session consisted of several key parts:
- Candidates presented their vision and mission, explored further by a panel.
- Candidates were asked questions about the roles and functions of executive institutions within UNIPMA’s student organizations.
- Questions addressed critical issues such as revitalizing student solidarity and fostering harmony among executive institutions.
- A direct Q&A session allowed students to engage with the candidates and ask questions.
Syafina Putri Nurjanah, a member of KPUM UNIPMA, shared her hopes for the elected Ormawa leaders. “With the winners now determined, we hope they carry out their responsibilities with dedication and integrity. We expect innovative, creative, and impactful programs for students while enhancing collaboration between student organizations,” she said on Saturday, December 7, 2024.
Syafina also emphasized the importance of student participation in Pemira as a learning process for democracy. “Pemira provides a platform for students to engage in democratic processes within the campus. We hope to see more students actively participating in selecting their Ormawa leaders, ensuring that the process is truly democratic and inclusive,” she concluded.
