Fun Productive in pandemic COVID 19 

Even during in pandemic, it never change our spirit to be productive. Reported from Tribunnews.com, Corona Virus Disease or COVID 19 is endemic in every country around the world, is not an exception in Indonesia. The wheels of the economy, industry and education, which had been running smoothly, suddenly had to hit the brakes. Work from home is being intensified to break the chain of the spread of COVID 19. Many activities are doing from home, especially work and study. In these conditions the boredom factor is increasing and the level of productivity has decreased dramatically. However, this condition become daily routine for EX-ODGJ in Bader Village, Madiun Regency. Whether it is a pandemic or not, EX-ODGJ or EX-People with mental Disorders do not have still as a habit. As a result, every day they are just dreaming and pondering. Responding to the ongoing problems, UNIPMA students who are members of the Student Creativity Program team for community service (PKMM) invited the ex-ODGJ to do gardening and be productive during the  pandemic COVID19 .

According to Tim Lang. PhD. a professor of food police at City University London said that contact with plants, animal and the natural environment can improve a person’s physical health and mental well-being.

“For a large number of people society, both children and adults, who live with physical or mental health problems, gardening can be very beneficial,” Dr. Lang explain. (Source: kompas.com)

In addition to implementing the program in the plantation sector, the PKMM team consisting of 5 people, namely Nindy, Huda, Cahya, Diah, and Anggada, provided a fatigue-releasing solution for ex-ODGJ gardering and utilizing the house yard into a plantation. ‘’ My friends and I invite the ex-ODGJ to be productive and unwind, grow vegetables in the yard, apart from occupational therapy, this also supports the kitchen security program launched by the Madiun Regency Government. So, hash tags at home can be maximized’’ said Nindy.
