In the framework of a creative dance competition, the 2020 Creative Commission for Social Affairs held by Kodim 0803 Madiun, UKM Tjandra Kirana, Universitas PGRI Madiun performed the Dharmatama dance. Dharmatama dance is a dance inspired by the struggle of a woman in achieving gender equality.

Sonia, Chairperson of the Tjandra Kirana Dance UKM said that the Dharmatama dance was the result of the exploration of Tjandra Kirana's friends. They also choreograph all the dance movements featured in the competition themselves. This makes the Dharmatama dance more unique.

Tjandra Kirana has often received awards. The Dance UKM of Universitas PGRI Madiun always performs optimally in each of their performances. The preparation to take part in this creative dance competition took less than 2 weeks, as said Sonia. However, they can still perform the Dharmatama dance smoothly.

"There was a slight technical error and had to repeat the dance at the end of the performance," said Sonia, "but my friends did not panic or fall down so that we could control the situation. Fortunately, there was no reduction in value and thank God I won second place," he added.
