Sharing about lectures during the COVID-19 pandemic 

The lockdown of lecture activities on several campuses in Indonesia including Universitas PGRI Madiun makes lecturing activities that are usually implemented directly, now carried out by online lectures. Approximately 2 Months online lectures are held. There are some students who can still overcome the internet network constraints & internet quotas until now, but some of them are not. This what makes online lectures is not optimal.

Friday, 15 May 2020, Universitas PGRI Madiun held a Live Broadcast on Instagram Social Media on the @official_unipma account, hosted by Satria Setiawan (moderator) and Edy Suprapto, S.Sc., M.Pd. (speaker and lecturers at the Universitas PGRI Madiun). In the discussion of the live broadcast mentioned among other complaints of online lectures, obstacles for thesis, and also the process of student internship activities during the pandemic. Delivered by Satria Satriawan, Complaints about online lectures in the midst of this pandemic are very unfavorable for some students who have internet constraints and limited technological knowledge, Edy Suprapto explained that for now students are expected to be patient and adapt as well as possible, and of course maintaining health by following the government's recommendations in handling this covid-19.

"I understand about our current condition, but I hope Universitas PGRI Madiun students can be patient and adapt in this pandemic situation. Don’t forget to take care of your health and also following the government's advice in handling this COVID-19, " Edy Suprapto, S.Si., M.Pd. said

The next discussion is about thesis, Edy Suprapto, S.Si., M.Pd. said that it was difficult for the last semester students to work on each of their thesis, such as observation, looking for sources, looking for research objects, etc. This is what imposes for the final semester students. He said that those who worked on their thesis were advised to consult often with their supervisor because only the supervisor had been able to guide the final students during the current pandemic.

"For the last semester students, I suggest to frequently consult with their supervisor, because the supervisor can guide the, during the current pandemic," he said.

The last session of the discussion is about the activities of Internship. One of the students who participated in the live broadcast at @official_unipma asked about the continuation of the Internship activity for students, especially the 2nd Internship. Edy Suprapto, S.Si., M.Pd. said that for students who do internships in this semester, it is advisable to frequently consult with their supervising teachers and supervisors lectures via online because in this situation are strongly discouraged from making direct observations.

At the end of the live broadcast both Satria Setiawan (Moderator) and Edy Suprapto, S.Si., M.Pd. (speaker) said that students are expected to be patient and adapt to the Covid-19 pandemic situation, Hopefully, the situation will pass and don't forget to keep your health healthy so that you can avoid any diseases.
