On May 31st, 2018, Universitas PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA) had some guests of 7 academics from The University of Missouri, USA. UNIPMA’s English Teaching Department welcomed the guests by holding "Meeting & Sharing with Natives from America" ​​event in Meeting Room 1 of Campus 1 UNIPMA.

The event was attended by Mr. Samsul Arifin, S.Pd.,M.Pd. as The Chief of English Teaching Department and representatives from English Teaching Department students. The event began with playing a Javanese traditional game. The game was played by several guest representatives as well as some English Teaching Department students. The guests from America enjoyed the game. Then the event continued with a culture sharing session, the guests from America shared about their culture and also their daily life while in America. This session was followed by a small discussion session which was a more intense sharing session. During this session there was a question and answer session between the guests and representatives of English Teaching Department students.

According to Mr. Samsul Arifin, S.Pd.,M.Pd., such event is expected to spur the spirit of the students of English Teaching Department to be more motivated to improve academic ability and English comprehension to be able to get an international scholarship, one of which is scholarship to The United States of America.
